Overthinker extraordinaire, Dana Willow spends half of her time living in her head, so it’s only natural she started writing about the conversations and stories being born there. With a somewhat unhealthy obsession for dark fiction and people’s inner demons, she enjoys writing about flawed characters, especially strange women with sharp tongues and even sharper teeth. When she is not writing or reading, Dana can usually be found listening to old records, staring at the moon, and more often than not, talking to her cat.
Willow’s stories often take a deep dive into the darkest corners of the human mind, but also appeal to the magic (sometimes dark, sometimes light) people can create when facing emotional survival. She likes to poke at her characters’ brains and see what they are capable of; the best, but especially the worst. She has a soft spot for horror, the kind which lingers in misty woods or the broken heart of a wild woman. Dana loves for her characters to be both the haunted and the ones haunting.
